Advisor (PHD HYDROMET) Ali Behrangi
Bio Born and raised in Tehran, Reza has developed a passion for interdisciplinary approaches to solve water resources challenges. As part of his Ph.D. studies, he focuses on remote sensing of precipitation, and precipitation retrieval and analysis. He is also interested in weather and climatic extremes (floods and droughts), as well as developing and evaluation of high-resolution products. Reza earned an MSc in Water Resources Engineering and Management from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic). His previous research mainly dealt with hydrologic/watershed modeling, hydroinformatics, climate change, and sensitivity analysis. Prior to joining the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences, he was involved in several World Bank projects in Tanzania as a water resources expert and a data scientist. Reza loves watching night sky and stars, and listening to progressive rock music!
