Expertise Architect of the U.S. National Climate Program and principal architect consolidating the mission of the National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center. Led the U.S. delegation for the first Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change volume on climate consequences. Has held research and science policy positions with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the U.S. National Research Council. Current and founding director of the Pan America Center for the World Meteorological Organization's Sand and Dust Storm Warning Advisory and Assessment System.
