Expertise  Biogeochemical processes occuring in soil, sediment, and water.  Components and processes that influence the form and mobility of metals and organics in the Earth's near-surface environment; interactions between biotic and abiotic components, such as aqueous solutions, gases, mineral particles, and microorganisms and how these various components interact at the scale of molecules and particles to influence environmental quality.
