Our warmest congratulations go to HAS Assistant Professor Bo Guo who was recently recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer for Water Resources Research. Guo's work as a reviewer was cited by Dr. Martyn Clark, WRR Editor-in-Chief and Professor of Hydrology at the University of Saskatchewan.
Not only has he devoted the time to review colleagues' research efforts, he has also been busy publishing his own research this year. The 2019 Shanghai Rankings of World Universities has been announced, and once again the University of Arizona has been recognized as the world's No. 1 program in water resources! The latest ranking was announced on the UANews.org website. The university earned the same ranking for 2018 which was announced earlier this year.

Congratulations to HAS Alumni Thomas Whipple and Tiffani Cañez who have won the top prizes in this year's Central Arizona Project Awards for Water Research competition!
Thomas Whipple's Master's thesis, Planning for depletion: optimal irrigation in the Pinal AMA under changing water sources, won the First Place award of $1,000. Thomas received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in hydrology from the University of Arizona and currently works as a hydrologist with the Arizona Department of Water Resources, Recharge Section.
