MS Atmospheric Sciences Program (Accelerated option from the BS HAS-ATMO degree)
A combined Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Atmospheric Sciences option for students enrolled in the
BS HAS program with emphasis in Meteorology & Atmospheric Sciences
OR
UA's BS Physics program
You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 by the end of your junior year (or 90 credits completed).
You may use up to 12 credit hours--use the same 12 units, also known as "double dipping"--between the UA's bachelor's (BS HAS-ATMO) and the UA's master's (ATMO) degrees, thereby completing the Master's degree in less time.
One-Year MS Hydrogeology Program (option from the BS HAS-EHY or ATMO emphasis)
A streamlined plan to complete the Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Hydrogeology option for students enrolled in the
BS HAS program with any emphasis, either Environmental Hydrology & Water Resources or Meteorology & Atmospheric Sciences
Upon completion of the Bachelor of Science in HAS (any emphasis), qualified students may enter the new MS Hydrogeology graduate program, a one-year, course-based (non-thesis) degree program. The curriculum is immersive and project-based and was developed in conjunction with industry. There is no sharing of course work between the undergraduate and graduate programs because the graduate degree is designed to be completed in one year. See the MS Hydrogeology webpage for more details.
This innovative program utilizes a unique, holistic approach to understanding and characterizing water beneath the ground and merges hydrogeologic concepts with analysis, measurement, and communication skills to address professionally-designed, hands-on projects integrated across all courses.
The program will prepare you for immediate entry and success in the hydrogeologic profession, which offers numerous job opportunities and competitive starting salaries. Upon completion, you would also have the option to complete a Master's thesis or continue graduate education in the doctoral program.
