Academia in Action: Bridging Science, Industry, and Policy
We are excited to announce this year's El Dia theme: "Academia in Action: Bridging Science, Industry, and Policy". This theme explores the vital link between academic research in water and atmospheric science and its practical application in solving complex, real-world challenges. Embodying this spirit, we are inviting industry partners to engage with student research during the symposium, setting the stage for meaningful connections at our career fair the following day. To put this theme directly into practice, we are also debuting an exciting new student proposal competition, challenging participants to bridge their own research concepts with actionable plans.
This focus aligns perfectly with the launch of our new 1-year MS Hydrogeology program, a curriculum designed to equip graduates with skills for high-demand roles in both the private and public sectors.
