Hydrology and Water Management at the UA Ranked No. 3 in the US and No. 8 Globally by EduRank

Dr. Tomás Díaz de la Rubia, Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation, recently announced that the UA has been recognized as having the world's top entomology program and is a leading research university in nearly 200 different fields of study, according to EduRank's Best Universities in the World rankings*, released March 2.
The U of A overall is ranked No. 43 in the world, No. 37 in the U.S., and No. 20 among U.S. public colleges and universities by EduRank.
The university placed in the top 100 in more than 170 subjects organized into 13 categories. In addition to entomology, the U of A earned its best marks in the following categories.
The first number is the U.S. ranking and the second number is the global ranking.
- Astrobiology: No. 2, No. 2
- Hydrology and water resources management: No. 3, No. 8
- Remote sensing: No. 5, No. 7
- Astrophysics/astronomy: No. 7, No. 9
- Performing arts: No. 7, No. 11
- Petrology and geochemistry: No. 7, No. 12
- Landscape architecture: No. 7, No. 14
- Interior design: No. 7, No. 16
