Congratulations to HAS Professor Ali Behrangi for his contribution to the recently selected NASA Project Snow4Flow mission led by UA Professor Jack Holt (Lunar and Planetary Sciences, Geosciences) and Director of the UA Earth Dynamics Observatory (EDO).
The Snow4Flow mission was recently featured on the Arizona Public Media's YouTube Channel and the PBS series, New Frontiers, Season 2025, Episode 106: Glaciers, Europa, OSIRIS.

Snow4Flow improves our understanding of snowfall contributions to glaciers and ice sheets, enhancing models to better predict glacial loss and future changes. This is crucial for assessing their role in sea-level rise, water resource availability, and the resulting socioeconomic impacts.
Snow4flow was also featured on AZPM's YouTube channel, Snow4Flow: Studying glaciers from Arizona where Ali is featured at 3:52.
In a separate interview, Ali Behrangi, one of the main members of EDO said* "the (EDO) observatory played a crucial role in the success of the Snow4Flow proposal "by encouraging innovative thinking, allowing the team to break free from conventional ideas and envision a broader, more impactful mission instead of settling for smaller, less ambitious proposals."
Congratulations, Ali, for your participation in this important research project!
