(AGU Announcement 18 September 2024) "Each year, AGU celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the Earth and space sciences. Today, we are proud to announce the recipients of AGU’s 2024 Union Medals, Awards and Prizes; Fellows; Section Awards and Lectures and Scholarships and Grants.
AGU recognizes individuals and teams for their accomplishments in research, education, science communication and outreach. These recipients have transformed our understanding of the world, impacted our everyday lives, improved our communities and contributed to solutions for a sustainable future. AGU President Lisa J. Graumlich and the Honors and Recognition Committee extend their warmest congratulations to this year’s honorees.
Honorees will be celebrated at AGU24, where over 25,000 attendees from more than 100 countries will gather in Washington, D.C., and online everywhere from 9 to 13 December 2024. The 2024 honorees perfectly embody this year’s meeting theme, “What’s Next for Science,” with their groundbreaking contributions, which have profoundly impacted our scientific community and will surely influence generations to come."
Professor Zeng, an AGU Fellow since 2012, will be honored at the December meeting in Washington, DC.
