Bio
Dr. Quanlin Zhou is an earth staff scientist with the Hydrogeology Department in the Energy Geosciences Division of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), Berkeley, California. His research interests over last twenty years include (1) analytical solutions of groundwater flow and heat/solute transport in fractured media, (2) numerical modeling of multiphase flow in support of geological carbon storage, geothermal energy production, nuclear waste disposal, and contamination remediation, and (3) fundamental and dynamic processes of CO2 flow channeling, invasion, spreading, and breakthrough (CISB) at laboratory and field scale. He obtained his Ph.D. from Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 1999 and his Bachelor and Master from Hohai University in China.
