Shlomo and Yael Neuman Hydrology Endowment

Eligibility:  Recipients of the Shlomo and Yael Neuman Hydrology Endowment are full-time graduate students pursuing MS and/or PhD with majors in Hydrology who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. Eligible students will have a declared/demonstrated interest in mathematical and/or computational subsurface hydrology as evidenced by (past, current or intended) (a) enrollment and outstanding performance in advanced quantitative courses such as HWR 503 (Subsurface Fluid Dynamics) and corresponding courses in (or equivalent to) Applied Mathematics and (b) graduate research with a substantial quantitative component.

Selection:  Students may apply in writing or be nominated by faculty for the award each academic year. Selection of the recipients is at the discretion of the Head of the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences or the Head's designee(s).

Value:  The scholarship award amount will be determined by Payout from the endowment. No more than one award shall be given each academic year. If no qualified candidate is identified, no award will be given that academic year.
