Our warmest congratulations go to Tristan Dicke, our second* Arizona Hydrological Society Intern Scholar winner for 2019!
Tristan, a HAS Master's student in hydrology, was selected from among a large pool of undergraduate and graduate applicants from the state of Arizona to receive the 2019 Charles Avery Intern Scholar award from the AHS Flagstaff chapter.
Dicke, just completing his first semester at the University of Arizona, is an alumnus of Northern Arizona University where he studied geology with an emphasis in hydrogeology and was a permanent fixture on the Dean's List for four years. He is a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists and the Arizona Hydrological Society. His previous work as an undergraduate intern analyzing and implementing CSAMT geophysical surveys for the City of Flagstaff was good preparation for his forthcoming duties. Tristan will begin his 200-plus hour internship this summer working with several Flagstaff agencies and firms, including the U.S. Geological Survey and Flagstaff Water.
Tristan will receive the AHS Charles Avery Intern Scholar award and plaque in a more formal ceremony to be held in Tucson this September during the Arizona Hydrological Society's Annual Symposium.
*As previously announced, our first AHS Intern Scholar of the year was Rachel Spinti, selected by the AHS Tucson chapter.
