At a news conference on Tuesday, HAS Department Head and University of Arizona Distinguished Professor Eric Betterton joined a group of scientists, physicians, and local politicians voicing their concern over the newly proposed weakening of EPA Emissions Standards. Betterton stated, "Now for the first time in my career, I see a proposal that's actually going to make air pollution worse. I can't believe it, that this is happening."
