Expertise Paleoclimatology; paleoenvironmental insights into how key aspects of the Earth's climate system may change in the future; past, current, and future interactions among climate, ice sheets, and sea level, as well as interactions between climate and ecosystems. Environmental law; the interface between science and society; decision making under uncertainty; drought; and climate change adaptatation and solutions, with special focus on North America (particularly the southwest), South America, Australia, Africa, and monsoon Asia.
