The Graduate College has awarded the Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences a short-term scholarship program to financially assist new unfunded Master's students majoring in Hydrology, either thesis or non-thesis option, who matriculate in Fall 2017, Spring 2018, and Fall 2018. There is no application process; all students who are recommended for admission may become eligible to receive an award.
New, unfunded domestic students (U.S. citizens and permanent residents) may receive up to a maximum of $3,000. New, unfunded international students (visa holders) may receive up to a maximum of $5,000. By definition, an "unfunded" student is one who will not be supported by a fellowship, scholarship, graduate assistantship, or similar stipend program.
If more students apply for admission than funding is available, funding will be determined on a competitive selection process based on the academic record and letters of recommendation submitted for the admission process.
The scholarships will be awarded during the Fall 2017, Spring 2018, and Fall 2018 semesters and are not renewable.
