GPSC Graduate Orientation GO 2019

It's time for the Graduate and Professional Student Council's annual Graduate Orientation! During this orientation, new graduate students will learn about available resources, get tips on surviving graduate school, meet new peers, and meet the UA mascots--Wilbur and Wilma! The vendor fair will wrap up the day. Register online today to reserve a spot. The deadline to register for this event is August 18 at 11:59 pm.

NOTE: Attendance and participation in this event satisfies the New International Graduate Student Orientation requirement (see Global website for other options).

Students will receive a FREE 18 ounce coffee tumbler in addition to the information packet. (Limited supplies--first-come, first-served.)

Information sessions will be held throughout the morning and will include (subject to last minute changes):

  • Financial Aid and Funding Resources
  • External Funding Resources
  • Mentoring Opportunities
  • Coping with Stress
  • UA Library Resources
  • Campus Health Services and Student Health Insurance
  • Time Management Tips
  • Career Services for Graduate Students
  • Tips for Teaching Assistants

Many of the UA campus clubs, organizations, and departments will also attend the afternoon vendor fair, so students can become acquainted with these opportunities and services.
