Kudos to HAS faculty members Hoshin Gupta and Laura Condon who were recently interviewed for Arizona Science, Arizona Public Media's radio show. Dr. Leslie Tolbert, UA Regents Professor Emerita, interviews guests each week during NPR's Science Friday broadcast.

In Episode 195, Earth Science and the Art of Crunching Numbers, broadcast on August 16, Gupta discussed how he's meeting the challenge of data analysis in his Earth Science research and why he advises students should get comfortable with big data as they begin their careers.

In Episode 198, Groundwater and climate change, broadcast on September 6, Condon discussed using computer models to predict what climate change will do to the availability of groundwater. She is exploring a series of "what if" scenarios on how to respond to water shortages.

Well done, Hoshin and Laura!
